Now That Nirecotive has random armor you may have noticed that the nobleman outfit (green thing with red carp) appears quite often. It's due to the fact that its mesh serve as placeholder for many items. I decided to change it with slight client side modifications. I took some clothes from OSP, and modified the itemkinds file so they will be used.

I plan in the future to change other things like that, mostly outdated stuff (ugly Byrnie being on the top of my list with poleaxe and ugly axes).

Note : people without this add-on will still see the nobleman outfit (just to make it clear).

At this time I have only added five armors, more will come soon. they're taken from Pino Osp pack and Rathos one.

How to install :
  • resources goes to the [...]/native/Resource folder
  • Textures goes to the [...]/native/Textures folder
  • Backup your Itemkinds file and copy the new one.
  • Open your Module.ini, be sure "scan_module_textures" is set to 1
  • Right after "load_resource = town_houses_e" paste "load_mod_resource = Nirarmoradd" and "load_mod_resource = NirWeapons"


It should look like this :

What possessed you to call the folder in the archive "Ressources" and not "Ressource"? Dodgy

Update : now with 50% less spelling mistake.

Addded a bit more clothing variations of the nobleman outfit, Got rid of the awful old blue and red arena armors aswell as the Helmets, all the armor now have Lod.

Now some weapons are changed too among them are : the club (but not in the torch) the hatchet, the fighting axe, the doublesided lance, the staffs. Furthermore the gun is visibly carried ( using carry_pistol_left).

I leave both version up if people want only clothe changes.

Get it : here.

Note that you now have to insert in your module.ini file the line :

I think I want more details before downloading.

WHat old arena armour? What do you mean with "the helmets aswell" - old arena helmets?

What changes did you do for weapons exactly?

Looks good, will try it at some point.

As van said, some more detailed info could be nice. Maybe a list of all the changed items?

I guess you have kept the general look of the items at about the same? Except for those which were clearly wrong ("nobleman_outf" and ring of keys come to mind).

More information : here is what's changed for the armors, explained with pictures.

-The nobleman outfit that appeared 20(!) times :

-The old Arena armors with the old helmets (before arena revamp at 0.960) :

has been changed for a set of different clothes :

For the weapons : most of the mesh are unchanged, just set to use better texture ( as some of them have been inchanged since M&B beginnings and look quite ugly. It include the hatchet, the training weapon, wooden staff, quarterstaff and the club so far.

I will most likely post the same pictures for the weapons, but I need to update the files first as I found some stuff that need to be changed.

P.S. : Sorry for the poor quality, I realised that the "floor" was still here and I'm lazy.
